I’ve just moved this chap, he was hating being segregated into a cockerel pen but is now very happy policing youngsters in a run immediately outside my office window.

He is my male for the Red Millefleur Wyandotte project. I’m hoping he will breed dark red millefleurs next year.  He’s a lovely chunky chap and  a super dark plummy mahogany red.

His shade of dark red colour is just what I’d like to see on the Red Millefleur. This project should also produce Khaki Red Millefleurs, which will be visually red mottled; i.e. red with white spots.  I can’t wait! Fingers xed!!

His father is a nice chap, not quite as dark, and being run on as understudy for the project.
