HoneyCream
A new ground colour has popped up in the flock. It changes gold to a light yellow ochre. When two are bred together you get half the same yellow ochre, a quarter regular gold and a quarter are homozygous which looks very pale cream, almost white. It does vary a bit depending on any red colour in the make up of the bird. Currently the semi-dominant gene has been given the name HoneyCream.
This gene could be what has previously been called Dilute (Di) or Champagne Blonde (Cb) but doesn’t conform to the genes of those names used in the genotypes of of other breeds.
